Volunteers

2 Hay FM (92.1) is a local run and operated radio station for the community of Hay.

Would you like to join our happy crew?

Whether you are 18 or 80 there are vacancies for presenters and other volunteers. If you have previous training and experience or you have not set foot inside a radio station before you are always welcome at 2HAYFM.

If you have no radio experience or training 2HAYFM can provide the training that you need to get you on the air. Training will include on-air presentation skills, broadcasting laws, equipment, studio etiquette and behaviour.

New presenters are also teamed up with an experience presenter, who acts as their mentor during training. They can answer any questions that pop up, and help out if you get stuck. Remember! There’s no money in it (all our presenters are volunteers), but you never know, it could lead to something bigger.

For further details call the station on 02 6993 1205 and ask for our training Co-ordinator Peter Marks. Or email Pete, he’d be happy to hear from YOU!
